GuideSite offers a range of training, consultation, and support options for research sites and treatment clinics working with ketamine, MDMA, and classic psychedelics. Our offerings add value at all phases of a site’s development, from planning to start-up to being fully operational.
We begin each partnership with an initial needs assessment that helps us and the site collaboratively determine which of our services would help them reach their goals. From there, we recommended a package that reflects their needs.
Our offerings can support the provision of care in a variety of contexts:
- Treatment clinics or individual psychiatric providers offering ketamine or Spravato® (esketamine)
- Clinics or providers preparing to offer MDMA or other psychedelic medicines post-FDA approval
- Clinical research sites moving into psychedelic research
- Contract research organizations (CROs) standing up sites for psychedelic trials
- Psychedelic drug development companies initiating trials at sites new to psychedelics
- Clinical research/academic sites initiating Investigator-initiated trials (IITs) of psychedelic medicines

Consultation
GuideSite offers an array of consultation services including, but not limited to:
- General support for site staff, facilitators, and directors
- Individual and group psychedelic clinical case discussions
- Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in site practices
- Help in assessing patient suitability
- Initiating peer support groups for session facilitators
- Physical space setup, including treatment room design & technology setup
- Regulatory (FDA, IRB, DEA) and clinical support for Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs)
- Other specific topic consultations with GuideSite’s subject matter experts
Training
GuideSite’s trainings support, not just session facilitators, but all site staff (e.g., raters, nurses) in developing their expertise in psychedelic treatment. Our core trainings include:
- Foundations of psychedelic treatment: A participant's journey - Educates all staff on the essentials of psychedelic treatment, how they can contribute to successful outcomes from within their role, and how all site staff can work together in solidarity.
- Therapeutic presence, self-awareness & self-care, and DEI considerations - A deeper dive for all clinical staff into what thoughtful care looks like and how to respond to the unique needs of a psychedelic patients.
- Advanced facilitation skills - Trains therapists & facilitators in the essential skills required by their roles.
Tailored Resources
GuideSite prepares tailored resources that help sites operate consistently and efficiently, including:
- Training materials for site staff and session facilitators
- Process checklists
- Room and technology setup checklists
- Patient-facing resources that provide support with various aspects of treatment
- Resources for patients’ support systems (e.g., loved ones, outside providers)
- Dosing session music playlists tailored to a specific drug and treatment approach
- Integration and post-treatment support resource lists for patients
Site Visits
Upon request, GuideSite consultants can visit your site to offer an array of in-person services, including:
- Evaluation of dosing session rooms and surrounding areas (preferable to do in person, but can also be done virtually)
- Daylong or half-day trainings on material that is hard to cover virtually (e.g., dosing simulations, development of therapeutic presence)
Experiential Training
You and your team may wish to deepen your understanding of how to support the needs of someone in a non-ordinary state of consciousness by participating in one yourselves.
GuideSite has partnered with expert facilitators to offer legal, non-ordinary state experiences to site staff in service of their learning.
When requested, we can arrange these group experiences and support you and your team in preparing for and learning from the experience
Facilitator Selection
A psychedelic treatment can only be as effective as its session facilitator. GuideSite consultants have experience interviewing and selecting skilled session facilitators for psychedelic clinical trials that reported successful outcomes.
We can support your site in getting the right facilitators with the following services:
- Creating or reviewing job postings and job descriptions
- Assisting with the interview process, including conducting interviews
- Direct referral or placement from our vetted network of skilled facilitators
